Georgia $1,000

Georgia is a lovely 28-year-old Welsh Mountain Pony standing at 13.3hh and weighing approximately 900 lbs. This sweet and seasoned mare has a lifetime of experience behind her, including a successful career as a three-day eventer, with many ribbons to her name. These days, she’s enjoying a slower pace of life and is currently being used for beginner western lessons, though she could easily transition back into English riding with light work.

Georgia stands well for the farrier, picks up all four feet, and is generally easy to handle. She does have arthritis in her front legs and her back legs/hips tend to pop, so she is best suited for a light workload—walk/trot only. Because of this, she’d thrive as a pasture companion, a child’s first learning horse, or a gentle teacher for grooming and groundwork.

She tolerates fly spray and baths (though they’re not her favorite), and wears a fly mask without issue. Georgia gets along well with her two current gelding pasture mates, but we’re unsure how much exposure she’s had to other mares.

While she is registered, we do not have her papers or proof of registration.

Georgia is a kind, reliable pony who still has so much to offer in a laid-back home where she can be appreciated and loved for the gentle soul she is.
