Maddox is a 21-year-old registered solid Paint Horse standing at 16hh and weighing approximately 1200 lbs. Originally trained in eventing, he’s been ridden western in recent years and has transitioned beautifully.
This sweet gelding is easy to handle and stands quietly for grooming, tacking, mounting, bathing, the vet, and farrier. His Coggins are up to date, and he had his hooves trimmed on the 12th. Maddox is currently barefoot and has been for many years, though he has worn shoes in the past. He is pigeon-toed, but it has never affected his soundness or performance.
Maddox is at the top of the pecking order in the pasture but gets along well with both mares and geldings. He’s a very easy keeper—just grass and hay—and requires minimal maintenance.
