Rebel is a 15-year-old grade Tennessee Walker standing at approximately 15.2hh. He came to us extremely underweight, but with time, care, and plenty of groceries, he’s already gained a good amount back. He’s still working on building muscle and finishing his recovery, but he’s headed in the right direction.
Rebel knows the basics on the ground—he halters, leads, and stands tied—but hasn’t had extensive groundwork training. Under saddle, however, he’s a willing and responsive partner. He goes, stops, and backs up with ease, and has a soft mouth, responding well to light cues. He’s calm under saddle, showing no signs of buck, kick, or jumpiness, and stands nicely for both mounting and dismounting.
He had his feet trimmed in mid-August and does require sedation for the farrier. His Coggins are up to date.
